The RoadKill Gasser
I’m building this model with some inspiration from “Roadkill”, Motor Trends Youtube channel. I particularly like the episodes with their ’55 Chevy gasser called “Blasphemi”, what a wicked machine that is.
Instead of painting the body flat black. I’m going more for the barn find look as I plan to use this for my scale model garage as a project car with a few figures working on it. I painted the car orange first, then the gold on top, just so I could break through the finish when weathering
For this build I used the AMT 55 Chevy body. The chassis is from the 53 Ford flipnose truck, also by AMT. The 426 Hemi engine was robbed from Johan’s Sox & Martin Cuda along with the Racemaster slicks. I’m sure that won’t be the end of my kit bashing to complete this car.
