The 1976 Ford Torino by Revell

If not for the 70s TV show “Starsky & Hutch” I highly doubt this model kit would have ever been produced.
The show aired from 1975-79 and featured the 1976 Ford Torino nicknamed “The Striped Tomato”.
I read somewhere that they used up to 4 of these cars throughout the span of these episodes.

With this version of the kit being stock, it will make a great addition the junkyard diorama. Can’t get enough of these plain jane cars to bring a sense of realism to any junker display.

I went with a mint green met. available in 76 and very common back then. The Chassis and parts were pre coated with my ground coat mix (red oxide prime and flattening agent). I find that to be the ideal surface for adhesion when coating with rust and oil staining around engine/trans components.
